There were many delicious meals throughout our trip, but one of my favorites was our dinner at the Dromoland Castle’s Earl of Thomond restaurant.  We even got dressed up for the occasion!

Some things I remember:

  • The Wine List was actually a leather-bound binder/album with so many pages it had to be four or five inches thick
  • Lamb – it’s even better when prepared two ways instead of just one
  • Megan got to live the Princess Diaries moment with her second course of green apple sorbet
  • Caviar – delicious
  • The waiters lifted all four silver covers off of our plates at the same time, just like in the movies
  • Dessert… and barely having room to fit it in
